Hard Target Racing

Next Event Sept 14th 2013... @ Orlando Speed World.. Dont Miss It!!

Where is Hard Target Headed

Luis Ferrer Jr. and the Hard Target team has been looking forward to being the first 6-second Modified Sport Compact vehicle in the NSCRA series.  On July 11th, 2009 the Hard Target team got one step closer to their goal.  At a test-n-tune event at Palm Beach International Raceway, Ferrer Jr. piloted his 2007 Scion tC down the quarter mile to a blazing 7.069 @ 187.68 mph pass!  This can be a testament to both the hard work and dedication of the team, as well as Palm Beach International Raceway for having such a high class facility and state-of-the-art track for the world's fastest sport compacts. Hard Target are that close to a 6-second record pass in the Modified Sport Compact class and we'll be on hand to witness it at none other than Palm Beach International Raceway!

Make sure to check out Luis Ferrer Jr. and the Hard Target team at our next event on October 4th, 2009 at Palm Beach International Raceway.  We look forward to seeing them make their first 6-second run in front of a stand packed crowd.  Congratulations to the entire team at Hard Target for their hard work and dedication to the sport compact drag racing industry.

What powers the Hard Target Cars

img The setup is a GenIII 3s-gte hybrid on methanol and will be attending various drag racing events for the 2009 season. Hard Target will be utlitizing numerous Hux Racing products & services. Professional wiring, billet intake runners, and Hux Racing head stud kits.

Be sure to go to check out Hard Target's 1982 Toyota Corolla in our pics/video section. This little wedge sports the same GenIII 3s-gte setup as the Scion TC. So far the Corolla has netted record numbers on only a 8.5" slick doing 8.30s in the quarter mile at 165 mph. The HP output is @ 900+ rwhp. All the factory features are retained, including the Toyota factory spare tire & jack mounted in the trunk!
